Papirnato Srce

A winter walk in the woods, when all is quiet and Mother Nature is asleep... or is it? If you are very very still and listen to the sounds of the forest, you might just notice it is not so quiet after all.. look closely and you may find loving and curious tiny creatures hiding behind the trees watching and giggling..  I started this card by stencilling birch trees on an off-white cardstock with Distress Inks (Victorian Velvet, Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac and Weathered Wood ), then added the cute Mama Elephant Little Girl Gnome Agenda critters colored with Copics (W, BG and R families) onto a Flip Slider mechanism. For added interest, I embellished the card with die-cut stars from holographic cardstock, left over from a starry sky background die.  I am entering the card in  #btchallenge110

Spring is coming and the little birds I am watching through the window are happily announcing it.. I created a simple card with two lovebirds coloured with Copics on a vellum circle. A Christmas card with the cutest Lawn Fawn - Frosty Fairy Friends stamp set, coloured with Copic markers. I added a 'Merry Christmas' die cut on a background with holographic stars which compliment the colour combination perfectly. While we wait for Pust to chase winter away, I believe it hasn't had the last word just yet.. We might see some snow yet this year! I'm in love with the Speckled Egg Distress Oxide which I used for the background, then added the versatile  Najlepši Par - Kreativni ptici  cut from white and glitter card stock. The birdie is sitting on glittery  Marianne Design - Ice Crystals Arch. I wish I was able to catch the beautiful glitter of the bird and the snowflakes in the photo.. A greeting card or an invitation? You decide :) The card was made using a paper pieced Create a smile image, stencilled background with Distress Ink Vintage Photo and stamped sentiments. A card that at the time I believed was too CAS (Clean and Simple) to send to the always elegant lady who designs her own ball gowns.. But it is beautiful just the way it is.  I partially stamped the upper part of the image and changed it up with watercolours to resemble a ballroom gown, finished off with a stamped sentiment. This card was made for a lady who celebrated her 50th birthday. I imagined the miniature book as The Story of One's Life - the days we have to write the book are counted as is depicted on it's cover, but so many beautiful stories are written in it - each butterfly, cut out from pages of an old book represents one of the many stories we can tell as we grow older.  And we are each a piece of the puzzle that we call nature. This one was made for a very special and very loved little lady and sent to her when she was in camp away from home to remind her that she is loved and missed. For all my baby mommies out there who are overwhelmed with feed and poop (wash, rinse and repeat) routine, with tiredness, but also with unimaginable love.. Hang in there 😘 This card was made using a stencil and Distress Ink Worn Lipstick. I colored the cute little baby with Copics and stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine Ink.  Do you know that feeling when you bring home a brand new cutting die and just can’t wait to try it? And the next thing you find online is a challenge that is just the perfect excuse to give it a go.. I pulled out my now absolute favorite color of Distress Oxide - Speckled Egg and paired it with some silver glitter cardstock cut with Marianne Design - Ice Crystals Arch.
