Happy 50th anniversary! Congratulations to this couple from the bottom of my heart. Marriage is not easy, not all the time. It has its ups and downs, its challenges and hardships. It requires cooperation and compromises and pulling together even when you know it would be so much easier on your own. But your spouse is also the one who is there for you when you very well know you couldn't have done it by yourself. And what greater joy is to stop for a moment and look around you, appreciating all the things you have achieved together in those years and enjoying the best company you could imagine - your family.   This time I tried making an envelope and included just a simple card with a pocket to insert banknotes. I used an older design from Scrapberry's 12''x12'' patterned paper and a Martha Stewart Scoring Board and Envelope Tool to make a #10 sized envelope.   For the card I combined two sets of MFT stamps:  Mermazing  and  BB Drink up the sunshine  which I stamped with Copic friendly ink. I usually go for  Memento - Tuxedo Black.  Then I colored them with Copic markers. I used  Distress Inks and Oxides  Salvaged Patina, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch for the sea, Vintage Photo for land which I applied with a blending tool. On the bottom panel I used the technique where I put a stencil over the inked background and lightly wipe it with a baby wipe to remove a little bit of the ink to create the bubbles. I lightly stencilled the clouds on a top folding white card panel (they are not well visible on the photo). I finished off the card with holographic frames, a sentiment from Mermazing stamp set and pearlescent half pearls. For stamping sentiments I prefer the  Versafine Onyx Black ink . Spring is here and I  can't wait to see the first cygnets on the nearby lake. And no, I didn't know what a young swan was called, I had to look it up. :) I got the idea for the card through my own struggles, where often you don't believe in yourself and would rather give up, yet with persistence you somehow manage to pull through the hardship and prove you're not just barely good enough, but really worth it. Just keep believing in yourself!   The card was made with Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer , Swan Soiree stamps with coordinating dies where I colored the little cygnets in yellow with Copic markers to change them into little ducklings, and Spiffy Speckles  patterned paper.  First I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink that is Copic friendly and colored the images with Copics. Hey there, birthday squirrel! :)  My heart just melted when I saw Little Fawn and Friends paper pack from  Nina Štajer .  I have yet to decide what to make of it, but this is a quick and simple card I just had to make with these adorable woodland creatures as soon as I brought it home. To make the background I stamped a kraft card with small elements from an older woodland animals stamp set and colored the squirrel from the same set with Copics before fussy cutting it. I attached the squirrel and the heat-embossed sentiment on velum circle die cut with black foam squares for added dimension and put liquid glue on the velum behind the critter and sentiment to hide it. ... the most important thing your child should know. This one was made for a very special and very loved little lady and sent to her when she was in camp away from home to remind her that she is loved and missed. Learning how to sew - and on paper! You can probably tell this was the first one ;) I've never seen sewing on paper before so after noticing a few cards that didn't have the very popular die-cuts with embossed 'stitching' but actual stitches - I was so eager to give it a try! The image is  Awww Thanks!  digi from  Tiddly Inks   coloured with coloured pencils and designer paper I've had for such a long time I can't remember where it was from anymore.. I added a red ribbon and a flower punch. I had this stunning elegant black-haired lady in mind when designing this card. The dress on the card is not nearly as glamorous as this one, designed by LT Couture  ( LT Trend ), but I'm sure she appreciated the gift and well wishes :) I didn't quite know what to do with my gorgeous Papermania Lace Paper in Midnight Blush (although I LOVED it and had to have it :)) until this special birthday came up and it was a perfect match.  I added a red doily folded in a dress and embellished it with a simple black ribbon and some bling on the belt.
