It was the first time I won a creative challenge so I am proud to be chosen as a Guest Designer for  I don't use lace much on my cards, so this really was a bit of a challenge for me.  I managed to find a compromise and used a die that looks very much like lace which created a beautiful and elegant background. I added some colour and shine that always reminds me of Christmas - classic gold. An old lady died today. A mother. I am blessed, it wasn't my mother. A cancer diagnosis was received today. I am blessed, it wasn't me. A radical surgery was performed today. A disabling one. On a previously seemingly healthy father. I am blessed, it wasn't my husband. A young man found out he has a year to live. I am blessed, it wasn't my son. An elderly man was bleeding on the operating table today after a routine minimal invasive procedure got complicated. As I was pressing the vessel to stop the bleeding I thought 'I hope he makes it through the night'. I am blessed, it wasn't my father. But I was there with all these people. I see them die. I watch their worlds crumble to pieces.  And their families'. I do my best to try and help them as much as I can. And then I come home. I put down the wings of The Dark Angel. And am so happy to be alive. And so blessed.

One of my favourite colour combinations - GOLD and TURQUOISE! Never thought of using these two on a Christmas card, but...Challenge accepted! :) I used IndigoBlu 'Merry Christmas Tree' stamp with  gold embossing powder on velum and combined it with  Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio I added a few sequins and a satin ribbon I am entering this beauty in  52cct: May Colour Challenge Craft-alnica #210 Toplotno embosiranje Creatalicious challenges #139

I am thrilled to have won my very first challenge at  52cct !! So it makes it even more fun to participate in the next one.. This card was made for the   May Sketch Challenge  - Santa coming to visit everyone on the nice list. It's only May but remember - Santa is watching you all year! 😉 I used  my currently favourite MFT Jingle all the way set and  coloured it with Copics and Stabilo point 88 Fineliner ,   then added some embellishments and gold embossing powder for the Christmas decorations. Santa was stamped and embossed then coloured with Copics and fussy cut. 

Thank you! When you need more than just words.. An interactive shaker card made with my little girl in mind. This is a card I've made for my sister's birthday.  When your present is just a participation to help her get what she really wants it's rather awkward to just fork over the cash.. this way the present is still nicely wrapped and it makes it more special! I made the outside with ' faux leather ' technique using kraft card stock, embossing folder and distress ink, embellished with sewing, designer paper, eyelets and a stamped sentiment - Happy birthday. Learning how to sew - and on paper! You can probably tell this was the first one ;) I've never seen sewing on paper before so after noticing a few cards that didn't have the very popular die-cuts with embossed 'stitching' but actual stitches - I was so eager to give it a try! The image is  Awww Thanks!  digi from  Tiddly Inks   coloured with coloured pencils and designer paper I've had for such a long time I can't remember where it was from anymore.. I added a red ribbon and a flower punch. I had this stunning elegant black-haired lady in mind when designing this card. The dress on the card is not nearly as glamorous as this one, designed by LT Couture  ( LT Trend ), but I'm sure she appreciated the gift and well wishes :) I didn't quite know what to do with my gorgeous Papermania Lace Paper in Midnight Blush (although I LOVED it and had to have it :)) until this special birthday came up and it was a perfect match.  I added a red doily folded in a dress and embellished it with a simple black ribbon and some bling on the belt. I adore the quiet evening moments, when I get out of my white working uniform and jump head first into the world of colours! Spring is the perfect time for it with inspiration all around me. The inspiration for this post was a cherry tree I pass every day on my way to work. The blossoms are so soft and gentle I can't help but run my fingers through them every morning, it just makes my day. I was so excited to see this new stamp at Tiddly Inks Cherry Wryn. Isn't she adorable? I could just imagine the soft petals on my skin when colouring it. A stroke of acrylic paint, a touch of Distress Inks, foamiran flowers and voila.. here she is, Miss Spring herself :) She is so adorable I made a few versions and can't wait to have time to colour some more! This is a simple card for the parents-to-be and it's perfect even if they don't know the gender of the baby yet (or just won't tell you ;)) I've been challenged to make this card at  52cct . Challenge accepted! :) And I'll continue with knitting a vest for my little lady..

When you keep running behind on everything and don't get to the Christmas cards before March (for the past year, naturally) you find out you're just in time to join the early birds who start Christmas challenges in April! 👍 I love my MFT Stamps and this is the cute deer from Jingle All the Way, with dry embossed vellum over stamped Christmas trees from the same stamp set. When you keep running behind on everything and don't get to the Christmas cards before March (for the past year, naturally) you find out you're just in time to join the early birds who start Christmas challenges in April! 👍 The MFT Stamps are my absolute favourite and these little Santa stamps are so adorable I had to start colouring them as soon as I got my hands on them (yes, in March). I also love my red Copics, they can produce a deep and vivid colour like no other thing and I think it suits the little guy. A subtle candy cane dry embossed background and a bit of gloss with the white embossed sentiment gives it a nice touch. As a complete newbie I have yet to figure out how blog works  so I am posting 3 different posts  for 3 entries in 1 challenge.. have I got it right? :) I would like to enter this handsome guy in   Fab'n'Funky - Challenge #391 Christmas

Do you remember the times you still believed in magic? I do.. And sometimes I wish I still did. The challenge on Fab 'n' funky blog gave me the chance to believe in fairies again if only just for the evening.. I would like to enter this magical card in Fab 'n' funky - #389 Fairytales and fantasy

I know, as parents we are all the same. The kid picks up a brush, paints a few strokes on a torn piece of paper and to the parents they're the next Picasso. But seriously... watching my 3-year old paint is mesmerising. And I get completely lost watching her play with colours - even though it's only the cheapest brushes and paint from the supermarket. To be honest - the result is no masterpiece. I consider myself a better artist than her - I stay within the lines when I colour, I use the colours of the same family together, I use proper geometrical shapes and like to keep a good composition and symmetry and I never press too hard with my pencil so it doesn't break or put a hole in the paper, I never randomly mix colours to see what happens and I don't get dirty while painting. Really? :) Is that what makes great art? I started learning from my daughter. Just watching her creativity, unladen with rules and confinements of our adult minds is so inspiring.  Don...

Flowers from under my hands...  Who doesn't love to see the first flowers peeking out in the warm sun? Or getting a lovely card from a loved one with a hidden surprise? This was made for a family member on her graduation.. instead of adding another  bouquet on the pile, let's get her one she can keep and remember. A water lily for the girl living by the water.
